Local Networking
Audiences London has been organizing and hosting our popular networking events since 2005. These are based around localism - getting connected in a specific borough or area - and working with particular audience groups and/or areas of artistic practice - for example, working with older people.
"Quick and precise, I got to talk to who I wanted to and learnt about organisations I didn't know existed"
Jacqui Aitkin, Lambeth Carers
Audiences London's Networking evenings are designed for people to get connected with others from the cultural, community and voluntary sectors. They are an opportunity to meet people, ask questions and find out what you have to offer each other over a glass of wine or two. People that come to our networking events can expect:
- An up-to-date contacts list of over 40 contacts who will have a shared interest in the area of work
- To be helped by us to meet at least 10 new people in friendly environment
- To be updated about any local or practice related news related to the event theme
We have had great feedback from clients that we have arranged events for:
"As a direct result of the event, we have forged closer links with two organisations working in related fields with vulnerable and older people, and will be working in partnership with both of them. We made new contacts with local community groups, one of whom has already become an active project partner. We also renewed contact with a couple of organisations we have not been in touch with for some time, and hope to work with them in the future. We enjoyed ourselves, and we know our guests did too, because a number of them emailed us afterwards to say so."
David Savill, Director of Arts and Education, Age Exchange.
