Wish You Were Here... Cultural Tourism for arts and heritage in London
An inspirational and informative day for London's cultural organisations helping you to understand more about cultural tourism markets and opportunities around 2012.
Why now?
- London is the world's leading and most visited city.
- 7 out of 10 visitors to London are attracted by the culture offering.
- Cultural tourists stay longer and spend more.
- 2012 will bring more investment and visitors.
Our sympoisum on 25 May 2010 brought together contributors and delegates representing and working for the full breadth of the cultural sector to discuss the importance of attracting cultural tourists and to explore campaigns and methods for engaging with this market.
Notes from the contributors
We've now uploaded to this page the presentations from our keynote speakers - Visit London, Visit Britain and the Greater London Authority, as well as those from some of our breakout speakers - Time Out and The Royal Collection. Please note these are just the slides and may not be of use to those who did not attend the presentations.
We'll also shortly be sharing the case study write ups which examine our roundtable stories in more detail. Details of the content of the day's roundtable and breakout sessions are available to download at the bottom of this page.
